"The kifoodie Experience Box was created by Kim Young, mom-foodie of four, author, founder of Healthy Little Cooks and Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert. After teaching over 10,000 kids how to cook healthy meals using real food and active learning strategies, Kim realized that if given the opportunity and training, kids could create amazing recipes. The problem was the high expense of hiring a personal chef. After-school cooking programs, although cheaper still cost $125-$250 per month. But, she found the biggest frustration for aspiring kid chefs was not having the needed kitchen gadgets or products required to practice a newly learned skill or duplicate a recipe cooked in class. Using her experience in culinary training, nutrition education and activity development, Kim created kifoodie.
